You will know if you have Branxton Hicks because the whole of your bump will go rock solid and feel quite tight (not painful though) and then it will relax again. They are painless practise contractions and women tend to get them from 20 weeks onward.

Braxton Hicks contractions are you uterus doing it's workout getting ready for labour. In late pregancy, they pull up the cervix and encourage the baby to settle head down and engage into your pelvis. They are exactly the same thing as labour contractions, but milder. They begin with a tightening of the uterine muscle, you tummy goes hard and round, then it relaxes and goes away. If they become painful and regular, or if you lose fluid or blood, then you may have made the transition into labour and should seek medical advice. With some women that transition is very gradual. Just listen to your own body, we're all different. Lidy

Braxton Hicks contractions final for aproximately 30 seconds to two mins and are often referred to as train contractions. You would train respiring sports to get equipped for the truly factor. If the contractions fade, don't get more potent or extra extreme, and don't have a suite time among them, then it's Braxton Hicks and you've got not anything to fear approximately.

They feel like cramping that comes and goes. Some times they hurt, other times its just a tightening.
Everyone gets them, from the second trimester on.

Braxton Hicks are basically your stomach tightening up then easing up. It should be painless until you get close to your due date, then they can get uncomfortable.
