The sound of people chewing drives me CRAZY!

I KNOW!!!
that is my worst pet peeve, it sends chills up my spine and gives me goosebumps and involuntary shudders - it just makes me cringe.
It's nice to see I'm not the only one like that!! haha
Some people bother me worse than others - some people I can be around when they're eating, and some I just CAN'T.

Oh hell yes !
I eat with an older guy every day and I don't know if it's because he has false teeth or if he just eats like that.
But I try to get in there and eat my lunch before he gets into the breakroom.
Otherwise I just want to slap him upside his head.
Other that the sounds that he makes when he eats, we are pretty good friends.

I totally agre.It;s gross when people are chewing with their mouths wide open chomping away like cattle.What;s really gross is when there talking when they are suppose to be eating ; with it closes but food if fling out while there words are coming out.I lose my appatite fast; and this will do it evertime,

Don't you think it might depend on the situation? If you are a restaurant or a nice dinner party, then it is not apprapo, but if it's just a few guys sucking up suds and noshing on pizza, what's a few slurps between friends.???

my stepfather literally chews like a horse, when he chews he sucks his teeth!!
there were many times when i lost my apetite. I also CANNOT stand someone talking AND chewing at the same time

yea it does, and sometimes i tell them to chew with their mouth closed and not to open it til theyre ready to take another bite of whatever it is. vi chew with my mouth closed all the time and most of the time hold a napkin to my mouth so no one dont see me chewing.

100% agree.
But imagine how I feel here in China where all folks around chew loud and burb and do so many other things unacceptable by other cultures standards.

I HATE smacking!!!! It's disgusting!!! I work with a guy that eats like a pig, heavy breathing, open mouth, smacking. It's gross!!
