To what extent is the US interfering in Burma's internal affairs for its own advantage?

About time to invade Burma to bring democracy there. The generals there have a weapon of mass destruction too -- it's called heroin; they protect the drug lord up north who grows and distributes it.

The media is diverting attention because the war in Iraq is going well. The US is not doing anything in Myanmar to gain advantage. The US wants to protect the people of Myanmar who are being murder in the streets.
