Hey I'm looking for a good book about being a teenager and growing up. I want one of those inspirational turning point books that really make you think something like Finding Cassie crazy by Jaclyn Moriarty

Thanks!

there are a couple books that i would recommend.

first is the sisterhood of the traveling pants series. the first three are VERY good, but i personally did NOT like the 4th book but who knows, you might!

anything by judy blume is always a good read.

also Dee Henderson has some good books out there, they are mostly love stories but they will keep you hooked till the last page.

hope i helped!

I Am Charlotte Simmons

It's a book about a college freshman and her journey through her first year. I like it b/c you see exactly how Charlotte falls into the traps and pitfalls of college life and how she learns from it. She grew up in a very small rural mountain village on the east coast and is often times embarrassed about her "roots". I don't want to go into too many details but she grapples with many problems associated with growing up and being on your own and meeting people who haven't grown up with the same morals and values. It's a great page burner too.

Can you access your local library on line? You can do a search and have the book pulled and heald for you. Or call the library and ask for reference dept. You can also do a search at Amazon.com by subject. Do not know if you are talking fiction or non-fiction. Even the children'd dept may have some junior books for ages 12-14 or so that they could recommend. Good Luck!

I just finished Crank about a teenaged girl who got hooked on meth. It was really really good!! About 300 pages, and I finished it in one day. it's easy reading, but totally captivating. There's also Smashed:the story of a drunken girlhood, that I finished last week, it's great too, but Crank is really great. Another great one, IT, about a boy who was abused as a child, his mother didn't even call him by a name other than It. The story is about him growing up and learning to deal with the abuse.

Go to Amazon.com and search
"Lost from Atlantis Book 1"
"Death by Murder David Lindsay"
and "Super Spaghetti."

They're free on Amazon's Kindle Unlimited, and you can Google how to get a free trial of that. And you can get a free Kindle app for your phone or just read them online.
