What parachute !! there are not carried on commercial flights.

Pilots of some ex military trainers might have them. Glider pilots often carry them because of the higher risk of collision when they share the same thermal. That's about it.

Military jets have them as part of the ejection system but that an entirely different matter.

What would I do with your chute? You can't even open the door of a jet in flight. They made sure of that after D.B Cooper. So the seatbelt it is.
