You could try a foaming carpet spray or a drop of dish liquid. Let is soak and blot up.:)

DO NOT USE OXY-CLEAN ON YOUR CARPETS!.... it is a peroxide based chemical that will remove color from your carpets. The only reason you have had luck with yours is your carpets are probably white. Also do not use Bleach under any Circumstances. It will have the same affect. Depending on the type of stain use Encap Clean spotter by Bridgepoint or if its a Human/pet stain try Natures Miracle which can be purchased at almost any pet store. For Gum or Glue try Liquid Dry Cleaner(dry solve). This product must be extracted with either a rag or a spot extractor if you have access to one.

Resolve is the best I've used. Works every time. You may need to do a second application if the first doesn't completely get it. I have a light beige Berber and it's worked great.

Try oxyclean. It works well for me. I mix my own from the powder and put it in a quart spray bottle. Cleans most anything and I use it as a pre wash.
