Without any info on your computer specs there could be a number of reasons why this is happening.
I'd get a copy of Motherboard Monitor, or find something that will allow you to keep an eye on your processor temps and start there

Check the event log for reports. Rt click my computer, manage, system tools, event viewer, system. Anything in red double click and there will be a clue as to what caused the error.

It sounds as though your machine may be overheating, and shutting down with a "thermal event" and not turning on again until it has cooled a little. Take the cover off and check all fans spin when power turned on. There is usually 1 on the CPU heatsink, 1 in the power supply and sometimes 1 or 2 in the case edge. If there is a lot of dust inside and in the case vents clean it all out. If the machine is dusty and you feel ok with it, take the heatsink and fan assembly off the CPU, you may find the fins are also filled with dust. Blow them out anyway to be sure. Make sure there is good air circulation to the main room from where the fans blow out , ie don't keep it in a cupboard with manuals stuffed down the side and expect it to stay cool.

Whenever you are working inside the case do not forget to maintain a good earth to discharge any static you generate. Turn off the power at the wall and leave the power cable connected. Touch bare chassis before you touch any circuit board and again any time you change position. Keep touching periodically, failure to discharge static can cause damage to your electronics.

Have you got a screensaver, setup & running?.
To check if you have do following.
Right click any where on your desktop then properties. A new window will open now go to the screensaver tab, & see if it is running.
If it is select none, now go & play one of your games & see what happens. Also in the same tab look down the bottom, it says monitor power. Click on the power tab & check the settings here to.

I would also check your bios settings, you may need a update.

How do I check my bios.

BSOD, I think you mean motherboard manual.

For that just go to your PC Manufacturers web site where you can download it.

Just open the case, and see if all of the fans are working, it is probably just overheating.
