Hi i wanted to know if you will see a significant speed difference in the AMD 6000+ vs the AMD 6400+

Thanks

You will barely be able to notice the difference between the two as far as speed goes. But something to consider about the socket AM2 processors, they have a built in multiplier (unlike Intel that relies on the motherboard for the multiplier) so if the clock speed is an odd number then you would need to overclock the speed just enough to make the multiplier an even number for you to be able to run DDR2 PC6400 800Mhz memory at it's full potential (considering you want to run this memory) you would have to overclock the 6000+ but the 6400+ on the other hand is already at an even clock speed. (example: take the clock speed of the 6000+, its 3.0Ghz so divide 30 by 2 it equals 15 which is odd... Take the clock speed of the 6400+, its 3.2Ghz so divide by 2 it equals 16 which is even) As a final thought I would suggest that if you're planning on running DDR2 PC 6400 ram that you just buy the AMD 6400+ if you're not too savvy with computers.

in case you will study the value of the three processors, AMD Turion X2 rather ZM-80 2 2.4GHz will win. yet of path, I study quite writing/assessment from pcworld or pcmag(i forgot), they shown that Intel midsection 2 Duo is greater effective that AMD Turion X2 processors. so as meaning even a 2ghz intel can adventure 2.2ghz - 2.4ghz. i circulate to decide on for an Intel midsection 2 Duo P7350 2.0Ghz

Minimal on office apps, internet, downloading, MP3, DVD movies but perhaps a bit in games. Significant difference would most likely show up in synthetic benchmarks. Actual clock speed difference is only 200mhz.

You will if you really take out the 100% performance, but if normal usage you will not really notice the different. But if your gaming or heavy apps it's better to get a higher clock processor. Low clock processor also produce a bit more heat.

hell no the X2 6400+ is like an intel extreme edition(hence why it's called black edition) uselessly overpriced so people will buy it due to the equation most expensive processor=fastest not even caring by how much.
