if you want to give it a good clean put half a cap not cup full of thick bleach into the dispenser draw and put it on the hottest wash it will foam up a lot thats why you only put a cap full in this will clean the inside of your machine and the pipes as well i was given this tip from the washing machine repair man

Run it on hot with 1 cup of bi carb sodaand then run vinegar through the rinse cycle

Use a boil wash cycle (empty) with soap, That should emulsify it and get the lot out
