If he's getting lower grades in school, hanging out with new sock friends Britney Spears and Lindsey Lo'hand', stays in his drawer too much or not long enough to sleep, refuses to get in the washing machine, a lot of stuff around the house goes missing, etc.
UPDATE: Some other signs I forgot to mention -- gold paint stains around the toe; a strong odor of mothballs seem to be eminating from him; excessive pilling; no longer interested in sliding his face across polished hardwood floors; late night runs with Lambchop to meet with those deviant Muppets that hang out on Sesame Street.
