When i look back at the irrationalities of my soon to be ex wife, i wonder does the pill have anything to do with change of temperament?

When I went back on BC, the first type of pill my Dr. prescribed for me made me a raving lunatic. I knew it too. I knew that I was being horrible and overreacting to everything. My boyfriend, thankfully, understood when I explained to him why I was suddenly a psychopath who hated everything he said or did. It is even more difficult knowing that you are acting out of character but feeling helpless to do anything to change it. I would cry, get very quiet, stew over little mundane things...and never once did I feel that I would be able to drag myself out of it.

I have changed pills a couple of times and have finally found one that allows me to be myself again. I still lovingly refer to them as "my crazy pills" though.

I, too, hope that your relationship didn't end because of this. It is so easy to remedy.

Oh yes!! I was on them years ago and had to go off of them. I was moody all the time, I was not interested in having sex, I was tired a lot, etc. It is a pill loaded with hormones. You have to understand that women don't have it easy when it comes to our hormones! Men have no idea how they affect our lives. We have periods, we have babies, we go through menopause. We are affected by this our entire life. Men need to be educated on this. We don't make excuses. We just don't feel good...most of the time anyway.

Yes it sure can. I've met women who tried Yasmin and had a horrible time with mood swings while on it. When I tried it I wanted to cry for 3 days and I had no particular reason for needing to do so and realized it was the medication.

Yes, 'the pill' can cause depression and anxiety issues. Of course, 'the pill' can help with PMS related mood swings (it does with me) or it can cause these problems.

Hopefully you're not divorcing your wife for these reasons!

Progesterone settles the nerves and makes women calmer. Estrogen turns them into the screaming wreck from outerspace. So it would depend on how much of which hormone were in your wife's pills.

in reality that they do no longer seem to be doing it responsibly. approximately 3-4 pregnancies in the past she grew to become into advised to surrender with the aid of her Dr because of the fact her uterus is in intense risk of rupturing. it is so undesirable that the Dr refused to be her Dr if she grew to become PG back. while it does rupture Jim Bob and all those infants are going to be mourning her loss of life and the loss of life of the harmless toddler that she purely had to have. the different unhappy ingredient approximately them is she somewhat looks to basically like toddlers and being pregnant. as quickly as a toddler is super adequate to start attempting to stroll it get exceeded off to a distinctive sibling to enhance. Then they get busy attempting to make yet another one. That IMHO is toddler abuse. you haven't any longer have been given a toddler and then rigidity your mnor toddler to enhance it. ETA: Ed purely because of the fact she hasn't died yet does no longer mean that she isn't in risk of loss of life. i'm going to have faith the Dr's opinion over your assumption any day

It does. I know I went on one type of pill and I cried the whole time, and snapped at everyone.
