No, buy just one. Save your money. If you need a gaming machine, buy a desktop.
Let's say that you buy two laptops. They are more expensive to upgrade, can't upgrade the video and only last 5 years.
You can upgrade the video in a desktop. You can usually ADD more RAM cheaply. A desktop will probably last 9 years at half the price.
If you get one laptop for Goin' Mobile and a Desktop for HOME and GAMING, you will spend less money and have an awesome gaming rig that will play tomorrow's games.

You should definitely not get both of them (except if it's absolutely necessary). That is because you can only buy thhe high performing one without losing anything (as you said the other one is less high perfirming) plus that you'll save money.
