My friend and I are planning to take one of our friends out for her birthday but we are completely, it seemed like a nice idea until we tried to decided where to go and what to do..... Anyone have any ideas...... Thanks for the help :)

you can go to pancakes on the rocks the food is good and affordable. then you can catch a ferry to taronga zoo or luna park OR you can visit the aquarium/wildlife world.

or you can just have a nice picnic somewhere or maybe go to the beach and have a bbq.

Dress up and do the young ladies bit. Buy her coffee and cake or a light lunch in the city, you can probably find some place nice but no too expensive along Pitt Street. Not Maccas or some miserable place like that. Do a bit of window shopping in Australia Square and along the old arcade. After that, maybe Darling Harbour unless it's been done. Good movie? Art gallery for an hour? Harbour cruise?

Lunch at the top of Centrepoint Tower and take in the stupendous view while eating. Then down to the IMAX theatre for whatever is on then a stroll back to town through Darling Harbour or take the monorail or tram.

If you really want to lash out, there's always the Bridge Climb but that is around $200 a person.
