Help! I'm a University student and I need to break this cycle.

You have your cycle reversed. You are staying up too late, and when you do, you will sleep during the day. You are going to have to force yourself to stay awake during the day to sleep at night. Eventually you will get the pattern reversed.

I was like that too.. I think you are more efficient in the afternoon and night time.

to break the cycle, take a break from your busy schedule.
Just correct your sleeping cycle.

Then sleep early and wake up before the sun is up so you still have your quiet time.

friends and families can affect your sleeping cycle too.. let them understand.

If you drink a lot of Soda it can keep you up at night, also working out could keep you up. I just went to the doctor for this reason, basically said no working out past 12 in the afternoon and no soda.
