I have come to know an array of people from different backgrounds. I admire the courage shown by some to make an honest effort against the odds. We are lucky here that immigration only accepts certain "point holders" and they make a great contribution. Often Phillipinos etc have overcome massive hardships getting here, the young Sri Lankans at the local 7/11 work all night and often have tertiary qualifications and support families in poverty back home, good on them ! They make a great effort, unlike some minorities who live of their fathers money and think their above the Australian way of life. If the young lebanese hoods don't want to be here why don't they just go to Beirut ?

I am so proud my parents are immigrants and my dad worked for the railways in the West Australian bush and nearly everyone he worked with were either from Yugoslavia,Italy or Greece ,Poland,Ireland or Scotland and worked bloody hard and they contributed so much to this country.
Then years later we had the Vietnamese and they did same worked hard so did their kids and still do.
I can't understand the ones that are born here and walk around with huge chip on their shoulders they should be ashamed their parents didn't work their guts out so they can drive a wedge into our society because they don't feel Australian.

I'm really proud of any hard working immigrant, who puts in 110%, integrates and respects Aussies values, no matter where they come from. I've seen many, many good examples of this, and they have made a fantastic contribution to their new home, both economically and socially.

However I dont have any respect for those who emigrate to Australia, form their own little groups, *********. and moan about our way of life, and try to change our way of life to suit themselves. Why would you want to emigrate to a country you clearly don't respect? That part doesn't make sense.

im very proud of the africans who come here with their family... the kids WANT to go to school and learn, they are so excited to get the opportunity, the parents work had and are beautiful people to have in the community...
however i have certain issues with some families who come here and still live by their home country's rules, they stay in their groups and dont have english written on their shops and australians are not welcome in to their shops... that needs to change...
but on the positive note, im so happy for the ones that come here and make a successful life for themselves.

Well it seems to me that flooding the country of Australia with non-White immigrants will lead to only conflict in the coming years.
