doctor says that i have fibroid in the outer wall of uterus.
is it harmful?
what will happen to me?
what to do?
please answer.......

It can be harmful if it causes a lot of bleeding such as during your periods that make you where you have low iron levels. As to what will happen, depending on the size the doctor may watch it for a while to see if it shrinks on its own (which it can do sometimes).

I had that, it was benign. However, they did a full hysterectomy and I so regret it. I wish they would have just removed the fibroid and left my organs intact. The loss of my ovaries has made me age incredibly, have trouble getting my body to respond to exercise and diet like it used to, caused elevated cholesterol resulting in an artery blockage, leveled my personality and diminished my passion. Ask your dr if you can keep your ovaries if they are healthy. Mine were, but they took them anyway.
