There was a goodMadeleine special on Spanish tv last night called "Madeleine, El final del Silencio" on Antenna 3. They made some interesting points. There were interviews with the waiters,Robert Murats lawyer and people who live in PdL also with a forensic expert who has seen transcripts of the police interviews. He claims that in total, Kate spoke for just under 20 mins in her last 13 hour interview, the rest of the time she remained silent. They phoned Sky news but didn't call the police. That was left to Mark Warner staff to do 40 mins later. Kate actually lied and told a woman who offered to call the police that they had done it already. The residents who waited every day to applaud G and K and give them flowers finally stopped because they couldn't understand Kate laughing and joking with her sister then putting on a sad face to hold G's hand and walk to the beach with all photographers in tow. They had a babysitter booked but cancelled it a 5pm.

There were too many points to write them all down, ie, the forensics, the psychological profiles, the body language experts opinions and much more. C Mitchell was on it talking about how the Mc's had been to church that day but not much else. It made for a much more balanced report than the biased reporting on the SKY documentary

I just read a thread on this on the Mirror site. It's a pity our media doesn't present a rounded view of the events of that night. It's disgusting how the PR machine have gagged our media. The fact that Kate only spoke for 20 mins out of 13 hours speaks volumes. I would have been talking for the whole 13 hours, but then I have nothing to hide.I still say O'Brien knows more than he is letting on. I hope the Tapas friends are re interviewed and that the Mc's
40 "unanswered"questions are altered slightly to scupper any pre planned answers that the Mc's might have cooked up.
I await for the results of the dna test results on hair from the flat.
Murcia..... there is a link to this interview on the Mirror site but it's not much use unless you speak Spanish.
RU NEWTON.... Clarence Mitchell is advising the Mc's and they think he is doing a great job.

I wish I'd seen that, because I am confused by the whole thing. All I see is the McCanns' version of events, and their opinions, and I don't get the other side of the story. I think that the British media have been very biased, and the questions that I (and I'm sure many others) don't know the answers to will never be answered by biased reporting (whether anti OR pro-McCann.) It's nice that there is some real, unbiased reporting going off, instead of grossly one-sided articles. I bet it was really interesting.
To Charley: Good point about the media, but I doubt they will mention it because it is not actively Pro-McCann. We only get one side of it here, unfortunately.

Well I wish I had seen that, I hate the way the British press report this story, each day the papers swing from one side to another without ever saying anything, they plant doubts, then on the very same page, retract it and tell us we should be sympathetic etc.It drives me mad!! (and makes me all the more suspicious!)
Also can I just say I have been a waitress in Portugal, in the busiest of bars and restaurants, and I can assure you, we may be harassed, but we are also more observant than many seem to think!! especially were a large group is concerned, and more especially if they were "regulars" (and on their last night,.. the waiters live on their tips over there!!) ...they WILL of noticed!!!

In view of the fact that there are 40 questions left for Kate McCann to answer, I can quite believe that she was silent during most of the interviews. However, as for the case in general, I have reached the stage where I neither believe nor disbelieve anything that is published. I just hope that certain questions and anomolies are cleared up.

I'm wondering why the pro McCanns immediately say that anything remotely anti McCann is nonsense, YET, anything written in favour, anything the McCanns say is truthful?
How do they know this? Even the police are having trouble deciphering the truth from the lies from the Tapas crowd on the night Madeleine went missing.
How do the pro McCanns KNOW that the Team McCann is telling the truth?
They don't.
I wish they'd shown this documentary here instead of the biased claptrap from Sky.

That is very interesting. Wish I had known it was on. I live in spain. Some of what you have said I had heard already but some other points you have raised are new to me. Interesting to see if they show that or even report about it in the UK media.

I have said this before, that there are more than that pair involved. Pressure needs to now be put on the rest of the party.
If the little girl was drugged, for all you know, it was a suggestion from another doctor to do it so they could have a very nice meal. The police in Portugal are not stupid, whatever the pros say. Doctors have been proven time and time again to lie and cover ones **** in times of medical malpractice.
Storm....i like you, your answers have been consistantly spot on each time. Give them all enough rope to hang themselves.

I would have liked to have seen it...
I had to put up with Sky's paid off version....
The whole sorry tatty truth will out.
When the DNA results show the body was in Jane Tanner's room the truth will out..
I hope that the jail term for Fraud is longer than the manslaughter term..
Theres one way out for the McCanns....TELL THE TRUTH NOW McCANNS..its not too late....sometimes things happen and you find yourself in a situation.....
How about it McCanns..what about giving Madeleine a decent clean burial???
What about telling the truth before its too late??
Have you got the moral courage???

it is all such a shame ,little Madeleine is still missing and someone knows the truth, but Kate and Gerry do their-selves no favours with their cold arrogant attitude and until they show some form of real emotion people will make up their minds on what the TV and press have to offer....
