It was mentioned on another forum that it appears odd that Kate doesn't appear in any photo's alone with Madeleine, not any holidays snaps or pictures of them together at home, especially, you would think with Kate being prime suspect in this case, pictures of her and Madeleine would be plastered all over the papers now. Madeleine a much wanted IVF child, Kate's firstborn, yet not a single picture of them together.
I've seen pics of Gerry with Madeleine and/or the twins, but none of Kate.

Lisa, no i'm not a regular in the McCann household, of course not, no more than you are. But, the way the McCanns are spinning the media, publishing wedding pictures etc, wouldn't you think just ONE pic of Kate & Madeleine would've made it to the front page, I mean, everything else has!

Mistyblue, i am a mother and i understand that most mothers take all the pictures. but, come on, if the McCanns can print wedding pictures (and where's the relevence to missing Madeleine there?) why isn't there just ONE picture of Kate holding Madeleine, even as a newborn?
Some people might say, "why should they" well, why publish wedding pictures when this whole case is about Madeleine?

Whether they killed her or not, they're still responsible. Leaving your children alone while you party with your mates isn't acceptable and they've escaped a lot of the censure they deserve due to the tragedy of the situation and the fact that they are middle class, "respectable" people. If it was a chav single mother who'd left her kids unattended and one of them was killed falling down the stairs or something, she'd be perceived in a far different light and would probably end up charged with negligence.
There seems to be an attitiude among their supporters that the fact they've lost their child means the McCanns shouldn't be critisised and shouldn't be required to provide a coherent account of what happened that tallys with other witness accounts! Their behavious was and is pretty suspicious but even if foul-play on their part is ruled out, the fact will remain that if they'd acted as responsible parents and not left their kids alone in a house, in a foreign country, they'd still have 3 kids.

I don't understand why it is the top breaking news story,this case has been going on for years and a new investigation was launched in 2011,now it is pretty obvious that during that time there will have been new things uncovered and new possible suspects. I really do hope that it is significant and leads to a discovery of what really happened to Madeleine,it's awful to think that someone knows and yet the truth may never be uncovered but i am confused as to why it is a huge headline when this is something you would expected in this case and it's not as if anyone has been arrested or there has been a very major development. Anyway hopefully it will lead to something,the poor girl has been gone for so long with no explanation and her parents deserve to know the truth whatever has happened.

I can see where there might not be many pictures of Madeleine and Kate together, if Kate, like the majority of women, takes most of the photo's. I'm surprised though, that a pictured of Kate holding Madeleine as a newborn hasn't been published, she MUST have one of those.

I have very few of myself with my kids, as I was always the one taking the pictures. However, I'm sure with the world looking at me under suspicion with accusations that I may have harmed my child, I'd find at least one to publish. Like you mention, if wedding pictures can be published, why not a picture of Kate and Madeleine.

Kate and Madeleine weren't as close as Gerry and Madeleine were, and Kate was usually the one taking the pictures!

I don't find that odd. I have way less pictures of my with my children then my husband with my children because I am the picture taker. I have taken notice to that however and have the older kids take pics and my husband.

I know that when I go on a holiday we come back with loads of photos of the children, some of them with their Dad, but hardly any of me... Dads seem to be useless at thinking of things like that, whereas Mums are wanting to capture every moment for their memories.

My dear you must not have children because if you did you would understand that most family pictures are taken by us mothers. If you looked through my family album this is what you would see. Pictures of my husband, children with dad, photos of my dogs, cats, birthday parts with children and neighbors. If you find 10 of me in the whole photo album it would be a miracle because all most all the photo's were taken by me.

It bothers me that there are very few, and mostly very bad, pictures of me with my longed for little girl as I am the family photographer. Most of the pics there are of us together are self portraits.
So, no, I don't find it odd that there are few pics of Kate and Madeleine.
