A Ouija board is commonly used in divination and spiritualism, often by friends out to have some fun. The Ouija Board has been around since the time of the Roman Emperor Valens in the fourth century. It is also thought to have been used by the Greeks since before the time of Christ. The word "Ouija" is a blend of the French and German words for "yes." The Ouija Board usually requires a minimum of two people to operate it. It is very rare that one person has the power to operate the board. Once the session begins, it is recommended that the sitters invite a spirit to come through and speak to them. The sitters are advised to add that they wish to communicate with a “willing” spirit. The reason for this is that it’s been suggested that negative spirits will try to come through and confuse the sitters. For this reason, it’s best to state up front what you are looking for from the session. You can begin simply. Start with a simple question, one that requires a yes or no answer.

The board puts one in contact with the spirit world and as a result it should be considered anything but a game. It continues to be marketed as as game, no doubt because of the almighty dollar. Many famous mediums began their trade by experimentation with the Ouija board and what they came in contact with are demons. Some even advise against using it.

Some believe that the Ouija offers proof as to life after death. Others, though, believe that the answers to the ouija come from the unconscious mind of one or all of the sitters. Psychologists and skeptics explain it as a simple type of muscle reflex that makes your hand automatically move and your subconscious mind control the words that are spelled out.

Most often the spirits whom are contacted through the Ouija are those whom reside on "the lower astral plane". These spirits are often very confused and may have died a violent or sudden death; murder, suicide, etc.

I would strongly advise against the use of the Ouija. If you don't happen to be lucky or unlucky enough (depends on how you look at it) to contact any ghosts, then if nothing else, you could become emotionally attached or dependent on the board's advice.

I am a official member of the IPRN. I would have to say that a Ouija board is a board that uses a connection that is unsafe. If you use the board, you have a chance of opening a door that you will not be able to close. I would highly suggest not using this. It takes a whole lot more to close the portals than it does to open it.

I have seen many results from Ouija board users one is to become obsessed and another is to be possessed!

If you want to communicate with Spirits work on your Psychic senses then do it the right way it may take longer however it is more rewarding : ) The easy way is not always the right way, you have to work for your rewards with knowledge

Umm...let me see...Ouija Boards are used to communicate to spirits....They open a realm from this world and another dimension...I consider the people who know the dangerous consequences in playing this game NUTS!

Ouija Boards aren't meant to be messed around....
They aren't also meant to be carelessly handled...not that I agree that people with enough experience could be messing with it too....

Experienced or not, ouija boards are DANGEROUS and RISKY....Unfinished games (on purpose or by accident) could release a spirit into this world....Sometimes the portal would close that would let them remain in this world haunting whoever set the spirit free....

So, as much as possible, keep away from them.....you could find a safer way if you REALLY would like to contact a spirit right?
