By making a circle of his leaves (laurel wreath) in order to put it on my head; but I'm not an important person for that (honor), so there is no answer here of my part. Furthermore, the laurel (Headache tree) can cause a headache if breathed in to excess.

So, I would prepare the laurels (my admiration for) that I live on by trying to write a good book.

By preparing the laurels using their four fundamental flavors:
sweet,salt,bitter and sour. All other flavors are combinations are derived from these four.

Cover myself with thick clothing so I don't get poked or irritated.
Though sometimes the thorns stick through my outer covering and that irritates me.
So then I gently pluck them off and rub some lotion on to ease the pain.

I sautee them in clarafied butter and garlic...yummm!!!
