I dont know if I'd say it was the all time best, but it is one of the best around.. a far side better than most of the garbage thats on today..

thats probably the reason I Love Lucy has never been off the air, at one time it was seen somewhere in the world every hour of the day, and I belive it still holds the record for the longest recorded audience laugh on TV ( the ep with the eggs where ricky and lucy were dancing and they smashed)

its a great show.. one of the top 5 of all time..

Not trying to argue, but I think I Love Lucy was one of the worst TV shows ever made. Seriously, I've watched many episodes trying to get it, but I have never laughed or enjoyed a single one.

The best Sitcom was M*A*S*H

I so totally agree! I always laugh after having seen each one dozens of times. How many of shows would today's audiences think funny if they were made with the censorship restrictions of I Love Lucy and other shows of the time?

The "Honeymooners" !

That loud mouthed, Ralph Kramden always threatening "Norton", planning to do mean thing's to him, then backing down because, he really had a big heart for his best friend Ed Norton, and that "Sharp tongued" Alice Kramden stopping Ralph when he got "Nutty", always cracking on "Ralph's weight" !

My vote is for "Cheers" as the best sitcom ever.

Seinfeld. Jerry Seinfeld made $60 million last year alone off of the syndication.
