Definitely. When I need to buy so many extras then I might as well just use cheap shampoo. It's almost like false advertising to claim you're better.
By accident I discovered that was a good idea. In a pinch I had to use shampoo. It was one of those under a dollar. Anyway not only did they still come clean but some were actually cleaner. Because of the high suds content I only used about a 1/4 cup but those with grease based stains were cleaner. Go figure.
Another thing I found works even better. Tide put out this little battery operated brush that rotates real fast so it puts the detergent deep into the fabric. I absolutely love it. Ring around the collar, most stains, etc come right out no matter what you use.
But the best tip I ever received was from my mom (who did laundry for others) and it was NEVER wash something stained in hot water because heat sets the stain making it next to impossible to remove. Remove the stain in cold water or if milk based like butter, chocolate, etc in soap & cold milk first.

If you find a way, and if you're bored, please email me and tell me how you did it. I can't see how results would be dramatic; but you could probably help the stains with some of this advice you're getting through all these people. Oh yea.... I personally would stay away from muriatic acid... although it is sometimes used for cleaning up excess cement; it reacts with and EATS cement upon contact. Yes, masons use this (this is in my area of work) to clean off excess cement that is on the face of bricks that otherwise makes for a sloppy looking job... but masons try and avoid using it, as it erodes the outermost SMOOTH face of the finished cement instantaneously and leaves it more vulnerable to water infiltration , plus erodes your cement instantaneously, leaving it more suceptible to taking on stains in the future. I think it's a safe bet that the stain has seeped into the concrete, and is below more than the surface, so this wouldn't remedy the situation. One idea... if you find something that would break up old coffee stains out of fabric, the same will probably work in the concrete. Allow a diluted solution of that cleaner to soak on the stains; let it soak in deeply. Be sure to first check an area in the corner to make sure the cleaner itself does not end up staining the floor (which test could take days.) You are going to have to "lift" the stain out of the concrete, which is going to require some sort of "lifting" suction action. How about a towel spread over the stains and pour salt all over it? This will "suck" the water and cleanser out of the concrete, and hopefully at least some of the stain along with it. I'm not sure the towel would be enough to stop the salt from seeping through the other way, and leaving possible salt stains as a result. That's a touchy situaton you've got there. I'm not sure you're going to fix it.... without painting the surface or something along those lines. Hope I'm not just rambling.... for what it's worth.

Yes i do! I don't see why i buy one kind of detergent to then find out that it is not up to scratch. Another nasty is buying a certain stain remover to then read on the bottle or spray that for this one to work you need to have cleaned your carpet before/Or after with another product from the same company!
It's a rip off! Big companies shouldn't be allowed to get away with it!

Yep! My son is training to be a chef...forget 'trust pink'lol it doesn't remove all stains, so I bought vanish for his whites and still the stains remain.....so I use fairy liquid and squirt it all over his whites....it does remove most of the greasy stains, but still not as white as should be!
So what with the detergent, pink and white vanish, fairy liquid....it costs a bloomin' fortune to do a white wash in my house!grrrrrr

I have got so many bottles of so called cleaner, that were miracle stain removers, that i could pay off the national debt with what i have spent, and they don't work, many old fashioned methods however often do.

(-: You should switch to a cheaper, less arrogant brand of detergent. Then you could buy stain remover, and use it only when you need it.
