I been to L.A loads of times and I lived there for a while - I`m English... whenever I`m with a bloke- everything is hunky dorey and people leave me alone, but whenever I been on me todd (on my own), I always get accosted by total arseholes - especially last year when I went to Santa Monica - was trying to have a nice quiet 2 weeks and there were some right nutters around who just want to use you.. there are nice people but I always get sucked in by the users, just be careful.

My son and his girlfriend spent a fortnight in LA. They didn't get invited by stars/ celebs (Not that they were hoping to) If they got really chatting with someone in a shop. Guy they spoke to had been to Scotland and loved it. He knew the moment he heard their accents and was so happy to meet them he invited them to a party. They met lots of people there, had a fabulous time and all arranged to meet a few more times before they left. They're still in touch with some of these people and found that if LA was such a busy place, most people too busy with their occupations/Time to be friendly, others were! It's the same everywhere you go!
