just ignore it, it'll come off on it's own
unless you have a specific need to get it off right away then you can give him a extra long bath and work at it with a sponge for a while

in responce to the last post, you are a idiot
solvents are perfectly safe to use on the skin(although i do agree, young kids are an exception) and do not cause cancer
lotion and waterless hand cleaner are both solvent based and perfectly safe for kids, just dont wanna eat em

I'm really alarmed at all the suggestions to use solvents. DON'T PUT SOLVENTS ON YOUR CHILD! They CAUSE CANCER. The most obvious solution is to call the pediatrician and ask a nurse. Second solution - oils dissolve oils so try a cooking oil, baby oil, or vaseline and rub it into the paint. This may take a while, keep rubbing, wiping and adding more oil. Third thing to do is put all solvents and oil based paints and cleaners up high in an off limits cabinet somewhere so it doesn't happen again. Children are much more likely to be affected by cancer causing agents than adults - and oil based paints in addition to many of the 'remedies' posted here cause cancer. You only use solvents on things that are not alive.

Kids eh! My little girl covers herself in all kinds of stuff all the time! Try rubbing Olive oil or baby oil into the paint, should help to dissolve it. Then let them play in the bath for a while.

Hope it comes out...My little girl had bright blue hands like a smurf for 2 days! eek!

Unfortunately, oil based paint is dissolved with petroleum based products that you likely wouldn't want to put on your kid (paint thinner, kerosene, diesel fuel, etc)

It's it's not coming off with regular washing your safest bet may be to just let it wear off. It won't last forever.

Edit: ACK! Don't use bleach. It won't get the paint off, but it may dissolve your child's skin. Bleach is great for cleaning the bathroom, it kills germs like nothing else... But it's nasty stuff. Do NOT put it on your kid.

Home Depot and Lowes both sell low vapor paint that gives off a minimum of fumes. Ask for it at the paint counter

You have to dilute the paint very carefully with cotton buds soaked in turpentine. .Turpentine can irritate his soft skin so apply cold cream on the skin around the paint first. You have to protect eyes, nose mouth and other delicate parts of the child from turpentine .

Don't use ANY chemicals to try to remove it. A 2year-old's skin is too delicate. The best thing is to let it wear off in it's own time.

You have to use a mild paint thinner. MAKE SURE that your child doesn't breathe in the fumes (or yourself) and be sure to wash him and yourself afterwards.
