Their stance will probably be very similar to the Libertarian party because they will become the other top party.

I am amazed at all the right winger replies, not one of them answered the question asked. Either they have a serious problem with reading comprehension or they are just in serious denial of the damage that Bush and the rubber stamping republicans in congress have done to this country and what the repercussions will be.

First of all, there will not be a demise of the Republican party. We might have a Democrat for president next year, but that does not mean the demise ot the Republican Party. We did not have a Republican president from 1932 to 1952.

People voted in a democratic congress and they act like they need their parents to hold there hand. They have no guts to pass a decent bill or put the President in check. They were a waste of an election. I'm sure Bush is cracking up at the gutless wonders and what they are doing for this country. America was betrayed by their lies.

That is funny. Considering that the democratically controlled Congress has the lowest approval ratings EVER, it is laughable that you think that Americans are only mad at republicans. You should really think about that a little.

If the dems would put forth a candidate who is not rabidly socialist, and beholden to Moveon.org, they would probably have a good chance in this election, but the dems are probably the most self-destructive force on the planet.

If the Republican party is dying, then can you explain why the Democrat-controlled Congress has a lower approval rating than the Republican President?

demise of the Republican Party? I would question your sanity on that one. Democratic parties? It's just one party. The Republicans aren't dead my friend, just down for a couple years, like the dems from 2000-2004.

Being a moderate that leans toward the left more often in my voting, I can say that I don't believe the Republican party is dead. (That's right, I tend to vote for more liberal candidates as well as Democrats.)

You see, I don't consider the neo-cons in office right now to be Republican because they have not followed the three pillars of the Republican Party which are:

1.) Fiscal responsibility. (Our deficit is higher than it has been in any point in our nations history and with increased spending in defense, it's not likely to go anywhere for a while even when the next president takes his post.)

2.) Family values. (With all of the scandals that have been perpetrated by supposed "Republicans" lately, it's tough to see who's who on the political playing field. Especially in their private lives. Lead by example, my father used to say.)

3.) Good foreign relations. (Obviously, our current administration has pissed off quite a few countries in our "War on Terror." Repairing the damage may take years. Some estimates are 50+ years to get relations with foreign countries back to what they were before this administration took office.)

I run into people everyday that say they are Republican and that they do not support this administration. Being a true Republican relies upon having these three pillars at heart when making decisions on a political or global scale.

The Republican party is not dead. It's just received a bad rap, so to speak.

RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!

Bush may have screwed up, but Congress is even worse. Congress' approval rating plumetted after the Democrats took over.
