I don't think it was that bad of an idea. He had the money to do it. It also helped some players get into the NFL. If you notice at all NFL games they have that camera that is suspended by wires hanging over the field. That first started in the XFL Also he wasn't competing with the NFL. If you knew what you were talking about, he started it so people had something to watch in the spring instead of watching ice skating. I looked on wikipedia, first game was Feb 3, 2001. The NFL playoffs ended Jan 28, 2001. The Super Bowl was Feb 4, 2001. Maybe you should think before calling someone an idiot?

Yes. That was a huge waste of money. LOL The merchandise might actually be worth something though......should have bought some :(
