I'm a union steward, I get accused of things that are not true all the time. I'm even facing a suspension right now because of lies made up by one of my supervisors. It is all about power. The vendor is trying to control you be accusing you of something. You may have cost him some money or some kickbacks. So he is trying to get you out of his way. I always have found that I rise above these situations and I continue to do my job the right way and the moral way. Just ignore it and help you boss in his investigation as much as possible.

You already have some good answers. You should make sure that you cooperate fully with the investigation and make it clear that you want to get to the bottom of it, because if a bribe was paid, the people involved should be caught, the vendor paying the bribe should not be used in the future, and the employee taking the bribe should be fired.

You should take the process seriously and help in the investigation to the full extent possible. Ask your boss to get the internal audit department involved, and also possibly the CPA firm. Honest and ethical employees are valuable assets and the company should be happy to have you. But you could also indicate that if the company or your boss casts any suspicion on you, you would immediately start to look for another position.

They will probably figure out you didn't do it. It should be pretty plain if you took the best deal for the company or one that wasn't.
If the vendor bribed anyone you should never use that vendor again.

When accused of a crime that you did not commit, always say it is not true and demand they tell you who has accused you. Find out all the details of the accusation.
