No, not at all. I think what is considered as "opposite" that attracts is usually not opposite, but complementary. For example, my husband is usually more rational and down to earth than I am, and this completes me as a personality, and perhaps he lacks a little craziness that I give to him. But deep down we share the same cultural level, moral values, and rational thinking, otherwise we wouldn't manage to coexist.

It's so much more complicated than that. Sometimes people seem to be opposites on the outside, but are really totally alike on the inside. My love and I very different on the outside, by in the depths of who we are, we are almost identical.

She smokes! How can I be in love with someone who smokes?

I don't know if this is a yes or a no, to your question. I just wanted to talk, as usual. :)

As far as looks, I have always loved the color of dark hair and eyes on men, but when it comes to women, I prefer them blonde and blue eyed.
I think that most of the time opposites attract in personality...for short periods of time, but nothing long term, not for me anyway.

No, i don't think so. i think we have to have some common points to get along well or share at least some same interests (hobby wise:)
I couldn't get along well with any of my opposite. It's too tiring.
Maybe physical attraction and short term realtionships can happen but in long term it's too painful to be with someone who is really the opposite of you.

At first, yes, it is a challenge... But as the saying goes:

"When two people meet... The woman hopes she will change him - which doesn't happen. And the man hopes she will never change - which doesn't happen either!!!!"

Time will only tell if the initial attraction will last....

They say like that...But be sure even if there is love and two people are completely different characters, if they dont surrender in some things things will not work...
Love is not always everything, the important is to understand and not to take away things from the other.Everyone has his own character.Either you accept it from the beginning or not...It is simple..

Perhaps only at the begining and just for a short time.
It needs common interests, values, social manners and mutual understanding to carry on with a real and lasting in time relationship.
