Ok he needs help at basically a lot of positions QB/RB/TE/Defense

This is the deal that he proposed to me.

Maroney + Hassleback + Shockey + S.McDonald + Ravens D for Antonio Gates + M.Lynch

He apparently has deal in place to trade Drew Brees but he won't do it until he makes this deal.

Question i'm i getting taken here or this deal fair?

Take that commerce in a heartbeat. the guy with Gates is feeling the now area of the year whilst there is 13 weeks left. I assure that Gates may be the No.a million guy on the tip of the year for TE's. by way of the way I truly have over 10 years journey with fantasy soccer

You are the one getting Gates and Lynch? I think you're giving up alot but it still depends on the rest of your team. That seems like alot to give up for Gates this year..especially with the Chargers struggling. This years top-tier TE's will be Dallas Clark, Jason Witten and Kellen Winslow. Winslow always seems to get good yardage just doesn't always score.

You can't take that trade. You are giving up WAY TOO much. Maroney, Shockey, and Ravens D for Gates and Lynch is still way too much. Stand pat, unless he backs down on his request for so many players.

Whichever team would be taking on Gates and Lynch would be giving up wayyyyyyyyyyy too much to get them.
That would be a horrible, horrible trade.
If you are getting the five guys then yes, you probably should do it as long as you wouldn't have to cut a bunch of guys to get them all on your roster.
Bizarrely lopsided offer.

yes! you are defintely being taken! too much for too little. Gates is good, but if you can trade for Ben Watson, or Dallas Cowboys TE or pick up Lee (GB) off of waivers, you'll be fine.

Not unless you have some amazing backups. Chargers won't struggle all year, but even if they do, the more they struggle the more valuable Gates is. I still wouldn't do it, though. You can do better.
