coporate earned news media? You must be joking, they are motivated by profit, do you have any idea how much cash they make reporting death and destrutction and causing debate?? I'll just tell you they sell a lot of papers. As for Arab media, I don't trust any news source that is under the control of undemocratic regimes (i.e. all arab countries)

Chi Guy, thanks for being non-hostile. But I think you should note that attacks are down 40% from this time last year. One commander noted that the area under his control last year during this time of year had 415 attacks(including, mostly small incidents), compared to 91 this year.

I think the news has discovered that Americans are Iraq-ed out for the time being. No one seems to care about the soldiers enough to do anything about it so whats the use? There is currently a stalemate in the Senate and Bush has the power of the veto. How often can one report on car bombs, IEDs, and US soldiers being killed or wounded. Nothing seems to change.

Yes you can learn a little more on Progressive news like INN, Democracy now, AGR etc so when we don't hear much its because something worse is happening for the Iraqis...we are supposed to not think about the billions being spent in our names or the 40 Iraqis killed per day (or more) and what else can we learn...Try Mosaic for the other side of the news(from Mideast stations
