he is arguably the greatest DH of all time but some people say he wont make it cause he only played a year or two at a field position. anyone think he deserves to make it in the hall?

If Molitor can make the Hall, why not Edgar? The Mariners should also retire #11 for him.

No, 309 HRs? Jeez, that's not even HOF for a SS, much less a DH.

His stats aren't good enough for someone who doesn't play the field. HOFers are players who dominated their era, did Edgar Martinez dominate his era? I mean, he only had 1 season where he hit 30+ HRs. Unless he was one of those Derek Jeter type players.

Maybe the Mariners HOF.

If the writers don't get all hung up on "the DH thing", then yes, I think he will. He deserves it.
