I'm trying not to get into the lifetsyle of a 21 yr old. I know this sounds corny but it's like the "LA lifestyle". At first you're kinda cautious about it but one night at the bar turns into having that fun every weekend.

I've heard it's not worth it and it gets old pretty fast but I hate to admit it but i get tempted...I'm a student wanting to go into healthcare and not to sound biased but it's very competitive and challenging - you're either cut to be in it or not - there are not second chances - someone's always trying to get your spot.

I've never "experienced" this lifestyle but i've seen it second hand with older cousins and friends...I get "judgement" from people that i'm "innocent" but it's not that...I just don't wanna get tangled up in it. I just want to concentrate what's in front of me first and deal with parties later. Don't get me wrong, i'll have fun once in a while but bars/clubs just seems risky and dangerous right now...

with me, i'm SOO SLOW and not the studious type, i'm definitely more social and i lack so much self-discipline...i've gotten better growing up but i lose focus easily so that's another reason why i have to restrain from that lifestyle...

You thought about ur self shows u r level headed and smart

Half of america spends their weekly payout from cafe's and pizza parlour part time jobs in a bar and max out their cards sunday morning buying groceries from a mall in their pajamas
and have like 5 CCs so before they know they are in debt by $10K with a monthly income of only $2500 how the hell they gonna pay it off they INTEREST pay 40% annually of the cards minimum amount for life
or end up like this:

MALES: big beer belly ,grey hair,vest with sauce stains, striped jammies,unshaven beard from like a month,after which its too much effort so grow a BEARD and before long are BANKRUPT and end up in a trailer.

FEMALES: beer as usual no belly ;) ,a cig all day long in their lips, sum drunk pimp gets himself off on them everynight and drops a few dollars off, they have a overgrown gown on,curlers intheir hair,shades which u've never seen all over their face and as usual live in a trailer ,or end up with crack and those PLANTS which they show them cops taking away the owners for having in their home,
{most wanted police,,,, criminals on AXN}

My advice to you:
listen sweetheart this is a crucial time of life....
between 21 and 25 u gotta make ur reamining 75 years hoping u'd live to be a fit 100

Parties n discos n pubs are all there maybe 4 years down they'll all go free
just that u wud hav an older circle of friends not juSt OUT of teenage guys n gals to hang out wid
but hey im not that bad at 25 HEHE kidding ....

Peer pressure has a few reasons:
__________________________
1. stop worrying about status symbols like, which cell,car,clothes,watches,pens,shoes, etc everyone uses and keep upgrading urself,
2.while schooling or ur healthcare studies is on, be as simple and kep expenses down and save u wont know how much u will have by the time u graduate then its all there to invest in fun or leisure
3.plus u''ll get a decent pay packet which u can use for securing ur retirement everyones gotta be independent
{not everyone is like me who wanna hang around till 70}
hope u know average marriage expectancy is about 7years in USA isnt it??
4.stop hanging out wid useless friends who hav nuthin else but PartTime jobs and are not studying
change ur study groups

join and visit the library,u wont believe ive found books i thought didnt exist and better still they are not of my study subject or major hehe

MOST IMPORTANT: HAVE FAITH AND BELIEVE IN URSELF that u can achieve sweetheart , no one can take the spot u have reserved for u and that s in sumone s heart thats what counts
these worldly things are just so u dont go hungry
:)

In my opinion you should experience going to clubs and bars once in a while. I understand the medicine field is extremely competitive but a night out once in a while will not damage this chance for you. Do not be afraid to make a mistake because if you don't then you won't learn. If you are extremely worried learn to discipline yourself. Maybe setting yourself a curfee when you go to the club and a limit? Once a month perhaps. I hope it works out for you.

that is consumer-friendly to grant in to on the spot gratification, events and all, yet do no longer. flow out each now and then for food and a drink or 2, basically dont' recover from excited and break an entire weekend for basically one nighttime. stay centred on your destiny, you would be so previous to the sport! you would be watching your individuals suffering to make ends meet once you're in a occupation going finished steam forward.

dont listen to others. anything can get old really fast. that just depends on your personal tastes. the best way is to experience it yourself rather than relying on what you see or hear from your family or peers. being an adult has its goods and bads. for freedom, but also more responsibilities. when you start going out to clubs and bars and start drinking, doesnt have to turn into a nightly or weekly thing. theyre not really that dangerous and addicting like how they show em on tv. its just up to you whether or not you have enough self control to moderate yourself.

there is always peer pressure, but it gets easier to resist as you get older. I go out every couple weeks myself. I usually have a lotta fun
