So where are the Mets fans who booed J-Roll whenever he came to Shea? Since you booed him before are you going to cheer for him now since he was right all along?
Here were some of the comments over the past months about the Phils. My comments are in brackets:
1. I finally gave up on that team in the mid 90's [Good we don't need quitters and fair weather fans like you]
2. Who's still in first, lol [Yeah you tell me]
3. the only thing the Phillies are playing with are their own balls. [Hahaha...I guess you're saying this about your Mets now aren't you?]
4. They need to shut up until they REALLY have a division championship under their belts and then have something real to brag about. [Division championship? Check!]
5. if the phillies were REALLY the team to beat; they would be going to the world series instead of golfing this October.
That's what I think [You think wrong sucka!]

So here we are, the Phillies are in the playoffs and all the haters need to acknowledge this.

Go Phillies!

How confident are you with that pitching staff?

The #1 rule of baseball: Pitching wins championships.

Good luck though, hopefully it'll be a Boston-Philadelphia World Series.

When looking at the NL Playoffs, you can't push Philadelphia aside easily. They have arguably the best offense in the NL, and perhaps of baseball. Howard is on a tear, Rollins and Utley have been consistent all year, Burrell came from nowhere this second half and more or less redeemed himself, Rowand never quits (like the rest of the team). Pitching is unfortunately the one weakness. The question is can the Phillies "O" overpower their weak Pitching. I think so. Hamels is back, and strong (13 K's last appearance), Moyer is old but pitching well, the bullpen shaped up the past few weeks, and Kendrick, though young, is playing with a lot of composure. Loshe is also making a nice statement since coming from Cinci. I think the Phillies are the team to beat in the NL, especially with the momentum on their side, and a "never quit" attitude. As for MLB, the american league looks tough (Ana, NYY, Bos, Cle), but as we all know, anything can happen.

GO PHILLIES!

that's a distinctive call between the Phillies and Mets. i might say that the Phillies are, however the Mets are not a good distance in the back of. i might supply the Phils the sting as a results of fact that they gained the WS final year and the Mets have choked away the NL East call 2 years in a row.

I agree the Phillies really were counted out all season. We hit the skid's and couldn't hold a lead in a few games, but that was character building. In the NL I like our chances, we are hot right now I hope we can maintain that momentum through- out the playoffs. I feel Rollins deserves the MVP nod as well.

THANK YOU!!!!
GO PHILLIES

We finally put it together this is a good squad and we have a great lineup, JIMMY should be the MVP hes got like 9 lead off homers and a quadruple double and he plays great defense, shoot, why else would he be the starter on this team for so long if he couldnt play the field even though hes been hitting good for years, BURRELL stood up this year when we needed him and we still do, he is progressing into what we expected from him, we have UTLEY who is the man and we need to keep him, we have HOWARD who is awesome, WE HAVE
HAMELS who is GREAT
ROWAND career year
MYERS need i say anything because we got rid of wagner and WHOOPED his TEAM
The Greatest Offense in the NL scoring more runs by far than anyone else. The team is so good that I should'nt have to name the rest of them because they have been playing sooo good and you all should knows their names, even the hurt onesThat helped get us here and dont make me name them too

iN YoUR FACE METS LOL!!!

dude, great statement. i knew the Mets were totally done. the other nite after the Phillies game, when they went into first place for the first time in 159 games, on the post game show they showed an interview with david wright and boy did he look like just attended his mothers funeral. it was great. i could only imagine the lack of confidence in that clubhouse. the way they all must have looked...defeated and lost and bewildered. it was great. i loved it. i loved your comments. if i could vote for you as best answer i would. GO PHILLIES!!!

"Ya gotta believe!!" and this city did...all season long!!!
