Unless he gets beaten down, he will win the triple crown which is freakin amazing!! Don't give me that he plays in a pitcher's park crap either. Check his splits, he pitched better away than home(2.14 to 2.51). What do yall think of his chances of NL MVP?

I think that the fact that Jake is not out on the field every day is a factor. Which i think is BS. Jake Peavy is a for sure National leage CY young winner. WHich should be the second year in a row it was brougth to san diego but it was wripped from Trever HOffman last year. But Peavy is gonna ptich 7 scoreless innings tmwr as the padres win the wild card.

Pitchers do not win MVP Awards.

There are times one should, but the writers have bought into the "no pitcher can possibly be as valuable as an Everyday Player" which is just so much beans*.

So pitchers do not win MVP Awards.

* Not really "beans" but the more accurate word, which also starts with "b", is a good bit more impolite.
