On top.

Usually the best ones are in the spring time.

If it rains all day one day, then at about 3-5 in the morning the shrooms will be growing. At about 4-8 they are ready to be picked.

They are from the size of a quarter, to the size of a CD, and the heads are bullet shaped to flat. They are off white, tan, and dark brown.

Only grain fed cows will do. If the cows are strictly fed hay and grass, they won't grow.

And don't worry, there is only one kind of shroom growing from a cow pattie and they are the good kind.

There are lots of different colors I've seen, but they were all lab shrooms.

Note, I don't recommend picking, eating, possessing or distributing in any way shape or form.

If you don't know, then it's possible for you to pick and consume a varietal that has the potential of organ damage at the least or fatality in the extreme.

Wait until you're much older and then determine if you want to indulge.

They grow on top.

But be careful. There are similar looking ones that will make you very sick. Cramps, and all that.

Its not something to guess about.

And neither is eating 'shrooms. Keep your toes in the soil. Keep yourself centered. And have fun. (OR ELSE!)

Under them and round them, but you better know what you're doing, other varieties of mushrooms grow there too.
