do u think that they might feel saying good luck is more acceptable than God Bless due 2 the fact most atheist get offended when u sign off God Bless just my guess

cuz man o man do they get offended u wouldnt believe some of the replies i receive when i sign off God Bless You i am not going 2 stop praying for Blessings but if i know that some1 is an atheist i wont use the phrase its just hard 2 remember all of my contacts that r atheist they have the rt not 2 believe just as i have the rt 2 believe but that shouldnt be the reason not 2 b civil w/1 another then u have those who dont know how 2 b civil or amicable twds 1 another they r just full of negativity bitterness & outright NASTY so nasty they used the N word w/the r on the end thats a bit much dont u think?
u have a good 1 mr bruce good day! lorl

From what I've observed, it's like signing off at the end of the answer like when you finish a letter and say, Kindest Regards from "fred". It's also a way showing they've answered a question with good intent. You rarely see an abusive or critical answer ending in "good luck".
Good luck!

ha I have asked that same question before I had gotten a pretty good answer for it but I can't seem to find the stupid question so I can give you the link so you can see it. lol

It drives me absolutely crazy....I mean I can care less to having good luck in picking best answer...now I can see if you are asking advice for something then I can see why someone would say that. But if you just ask a random question and then they answer and say good luck well then that makes now sense .

ok on those two questions, i have no clue... when i say it, i mean it... i usually type it in only cases who need it, like death, hurt, wanting, etc... if its another question, i do not say it... i only wish people good luck when they really seem to need it!!
maybe people type it in hopes of getting the best answer just because they told them good luck.. heck i have no idea!!

It's for good luck so you don't lose a shark tooth and someone unworthy finds it and wears it for a necklace. Do not question good fortune! Now go floss your teeth!!

Maybe they are just wishing you good luck. As Freud said,`` Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar,``
