Banned Books in a place are those which are not permissible to be traded or published in that particuar country or state. Many books offend the religious or the national sentiments of the people. So, the Governments often impose a ban on the books. Such books are not legal to be available in the domain of that nation.

I want to add to the other answers that there are no nationwide banned books in the USA there are only school banned books and books banned from being sold in a community. It is not illegal to buy a book from some where else and read it in a school or community were it is banned.

Why must burning a ebook be banned? They purchased the books, and it is their estate. To say they can not have manage over their estate in some way that does not damage others is to infringe on their freedoms. The message they are sending is "that is garbage that cannot take delivery of to a deficient baby" so they will certainly not donate the books. They're displaying their opinion that whatever isn't valued at present. If any individual by hook or by crook released the diary of the children who did the Columbine shootings, and it advised youngsters methods to dedicate their possess murders of their possess colleges, could you desire to donate the ebook to any individual else? Or could you desire to exhibit the way you believe through making certain that duplicate certainly not reached any individual's palms. That's what the message is. It would possibly not look well, however it is larger to permit persons have their freedoms, even though you do not accept as true with what they do with the ones freedoms.

I only want to add to TWK that certain books were also banned for political reasons in certain countries where the ruling government feared publication of the book could tarnish their public image directly or indirectly. Interestingly, such decisions had been reversed in certain cases when a different polical party came into power later.
