In an average car, how much money would I have to pay for gas

[round to up to the nearest whole number.
example: $2.34 = $2.40]

to go 140 miles?

I'd say an average car is around 24-25 mpg, so figure on six gallons of gas (sticking with round numbers), $2.80 per gallon (depends on where you live) -

$16.80

divide the miles per gallon by the gallons purchased to figure your efficiency
