Hate to point out the obvious, but neither are original names. Seven up, Cream Soda, Orange Soda, Grape Soda, all NAMES of soft drinks. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Six days and Seven Nights, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas...All NAMES of movies. The list could go on. I can not imagine what a child named seven or soda would go through, but if I absolutely had to I would chose Soda.

I dislike both names. I agree that silly/unique names will lead to teasing and hardship for the child. Please give them an ordinary middle name so they can revert to it in later life if they want. You may also choose to use it if the unique name doesn't turn out to be such a good idea. Neither name indicates gender which can lead to many mix ups.
The only time i would use seven was if the child was a seventh child, born on the 7th of July at 7 o'clock!

Seven. I'm not quite sure if Soda could be a name (though i did know a girl named Pepsi), but Seven is actually a nice name.

While "unique" names may seem cool to you, statistics show that males with unique names are more likely to develop personality problems due to constant teasing. Consider the fact that most people with call your child things like "five" four" or "pop" and "Pepsi" etc just to be difficult. While we as adults can laugh about that , kids are vulnerable. I'm not saying you can't have a unique name and be a happy individual.. just try to think of the child and their best interest.. after all parenthood is the ultimate sacrifice.

i wouldnt suggest naming a child something that can be easily made fun of. Children these days have a hard enough time dealing with peer pressure, fitting in and being a strong self assured person without giving them a name that is so uncommon. If you want your child to have a name that isnt *typical* try picking a name and then changing the spelling to make it unique like Makaiyla or Reagan.

Seven. I hope this is for a girl. Otherwise I am afraid you have picked the number one choice to get beat up in school

I actually like "Seven" as a name for a boy, its soul singer Erykah Badu's son's name. It also has a biblical meaning, God made the world in seven days. "Soda" is a little extreme, I don't like it at all!
Good Luck :)
