In the past, I qualified my lonely moments by the time spent looking back. However, I refuse right now to remember my time looking back; I have new hopes.

My moments are best spent looking forward and planning, r creating my future. I look back as reference to learn from my mistakes and remind me of the good times and how much better I want to create my future.

If one does nothing but look back, they stop growing, the start going towards what they are looking at. I have come a long way forward from a very bad childhood and I refuse to allow myself to focus on the past and take me back there.

I want to create a fulfilled and happy ending to my life and I will accomplish that.

Not sure I understand exactly what you're asking here.
Do I spend more time looking back at happy vs sad events? Not necessarily. I frequently re-visit the "bad" times as my way of working throught them, learning their importance, and how to avoid them in the future.
Do I put a higher importance on the moments I re-visit for longer lengths of time or at a greater frequency? Probably the answer to that is yes. Even the bad events have lessons to teach us, as I stated before.

I look back on memories for two reasons;

1. To enjoy the present more
2. To learn so that my future won't become my past

Or more often than wanted

3. To increase my hole so that I can bathe in sadness and feel at least that bit of comfort that I can in moments of despair.

i qualify my moments in my present... still, i take a peek in the time spent looking back to appreciate/be grateful for or reject/change my present.

I don't look back much. Maybe at Christmas time I tend to look back and it's usually kind of sad.
