If I was a professor at a college in Mathematics?

Would there be research? And if so, what kind?

Most professors do research, and write papers. There are all kinds of things to research and study in mathematics.

I went to Yahoo and typed in "journal of advanced Mathematics" and it gave me this link:

I'm sure that there are dozens of scholarly journals on advanced mathematical subjects.
