Is the government of Iraq legitimate or just a puppet government?

The Iraqis should at least be able to try them for their crimes, blackwater has killed Iraqi police and military. They have also killed many civilians, murder should be a punishable crime there.

Yes, I agree that the government of Iraq is merely a puppet government under full control of the US currently.

Unfortunately, Blackwater has full immunity (its clearly outlined in their contracts) and cannot ever be prosecuted by Iraq and since they are contractors and not part of the US military, they are also immune to prosecution in the US. Funny how that works, huh?

They know they need Blackwater just as much as the US military does. Let's keep in mind that Blackwater is contracted to protect prominent members of the Iraqi parliament and government. Gee, I wonder why they won't kick them out of Iraq.

Money, war is a bussiness.
The GWOT is a sustainable business model, paterned
on the Vietnam model, avoiding the mistake of implmenting a draft, and promoting unbridled US public resentment.

Any questions ?

They have nothing to say. We (the US tax payer) pay them a good salary (1 Billion a day) and they keep in line.

Because they don't want to take the chance that the Bush admin will be insulted by disrupting one of their no-bid contracts.
