The internet is an information database that was designed to help different people with different goals in different situations solve problems that would normally take days to accomplish. Today's society depends on the internet, which may or may not be good, depending on the source of the information recieved. With the growing Wiki's around the world, information is not always true. Wikipedia is a perfect example. The information submitted to Wikipedia can be changed. This happens most by huge corporations who want to make themselves look better. So i guess in perfect definition, the internet is a compilation of information from many sources, which may or may not be true.

The internet is used as a resource to find information about anything anyone could ever have a question for. To do research, and to meet and answer other peoples questions on yahoo answers :)

Easy access to billions of information sources, and extended communication!
I learn so much from the internet, from definitions and explanations of what i learn at uni, to talking to family from all around the world.
However, i blame the internet for my awesome procrastination skills =] Its great for entertainment the day before an exam =]

so any one and every one can share and gather data. music,files,news, opinions, art, cartoons, and ect.. you name it you can share it. thats the point of the internet. to learn and grown. its called the information super highway for that reason.
