I am a Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser.
I am going to start calling on manufacturing companies tomorrow. Can someone give ideas on things to say as it relates to offering my service?

Why would anyone who is certified make a cold call. What a very fast way to instantly and permanently destroy your reputation.

Another crazy plan. You are not selling $2 breakfast...you're selling a service.

Write a decent letter. Mail them. Follow up. Network.

Better to make up a flyer detailing the service you are offering and fax it to them .

Then follow up later to see if they need you .

Listening to a long sales pitch on the phone puts many managers off .

Send them the info or carry it in .

Good Luck
