I dont think we have any landmark famous enough to get world attention. Bakit? Bakit? The Philippines is sooo under rated ^_^

Since you asked for the "most distinctive...", I assume there can only be one answer.

Given all of the landmarks, I think the one that is most distinctive is the Rizal monument at the Luneta (Rizal Park). Even foreign dignitaries, as a matter of protocol, lay a wreath for Dr. Jose Rizal when they come to the Philippines for official functions.

It is also the most featured landmark in postcards.

not sure sir if it's distinctive but the Luneta where Jose Rizal's monument was erected is famous because of what it represents and what it reminds us of our national hero.
