Red bleeding, clots and pain is menstruation and it means you aren't pregnant. That being said light bleeding or spotting can still occur during pregnancy. Some women claim to have had heavy periods during pregnancy but this is extremely rare.

There are many women who have there period while pregnant. Yes you can still have your period. But if it has come and gone it is better to be checked by your dr to make sure it is a period and not a miscarriage. One of my good friends didn't know she was pregnant cause with her first two she didn't have a period but the last one was a surprise at 32 weeks pregnant cause she was having her period. Yes you can get pregnant while on your period too. I have 3 kids to prove it. Two of them I was on birth control. Not everyones bodies are the same. Due you know what your period is. It is only about two tablespoons of blood and a lot of uteran lining and other fluids. The baby only attaches to a small part of the uteras. Also you can get pregnant while being pregnant with the first. So always have your check ups and don't argue about things like that. Not all pregnancy show up on a pregnancy test either. And it is not necessarily a sign of bad pregnancy.

This is a very common debate.. First let me if there is any reason to suspect pregnancy and you are bleeding you need to immediately contact your OB or ER...
To answer your question. yes it is possible to continue to have a period while you are pregnant however it is usually lighter and not as long in duration as a normal period. this is caused by your hormones not being as high indication to your body that you are pregnant. Also there can be other reasons for bleeding which may or may not indicate a miscarriage but may be symptons of something else going on that needs to be checked. I would say for a positive answer to contact a OB/GYN's office or your OB/GYN and have them explain more into detail what can cause a woman to still have a period or a period like bleeding during pregnancy..
Hope this helps...

It is possible. Actually I read an article in Nursing 101 about a woman that had a set of twins a set of quadruplets and another set of twins. She had periods for 1-2 months after she was pregnant. This happens because some women have more than one egg to be released and if only one of those eggs are fertilized then the other ones need to be released somehow therefore she has a period even if she is pregnant. Hope that helps.

Yes you can have a "period" while pregnant. All women's bodies are different and still do the normal sometimes. I had a friend who bled her first 3 months of pregnancy. Some women don't. I'm on my 2nd pregnancy and if I missed a period then I was pregnant and didn't bleed.

What most women are not told is that it is not that unusual to bleed while you are pregnant. I bled on and off right through my first one. The first time it happened i freaked out thinking i was having a miscarriage. You should always see your DR if it happens but don't automatically think the worst. Also you can still get a period when you a pregnant.

Most women don't bleed at all during pregnancy. You CAN bleed, or have a period during this time. It might be light, and only last for a few days, but it is possible. And all bleeding does not mean misscarrage. Women can spot for the first few months too. But most of the time bleeding during any stage of pregnancy should always be checked

It is not a regular period, usually lighter. It is most common in the first month of pregnancy, before the woman even knows she is pregnant. But, it has been known to happen for several months.

You can have a period while you are pregnant. If it is at the begining of the pregnancy then it may be extra blood from implantation. But any bleeding during pregnancy should be checked by a doctor.

You can have a "period" when you are pregnant, but it's not a real menstrual period - it only really happens very early in pregnancy, is usually (but not always) very light bleeding or spotting.
