Tennessee, down town lots of action, live music everywhere, the bands you see there, you can look forward to getting signed and getting their CD in the future,
I would go to New York....
or Seattle,, for the coffee.....lol... no not just that.
I haven't been to any of these places. but I can't die until I visit them. So get to it, live like you were dying !

Well you didn't say how many days you have to travel, but some of the great places I've visited on a road trip:
Yellowstone National Park
The Canadian Rockies, a drive through there is amazing
Glacier National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park

wow, you're pretty close to Nashville. It's a great place to meet cool people. Go on down to Lower Broadway- there are tons of honky tonks and bars with music 24 hours a day. Or, if you want more "hip" people go to the Hillsboro Village area which is near downtown- lots of Vandy people there, lawyers, doctors, young business types, music biz, etc. There' is SO much to do and see here and the people are great, if I do say so! Good restaurants, too!

Chicago is a beautiful state and it's not that fare from Indiana
there is court shows and Lot's of shopping and places to see.
