had career numbers of: 1,936 hits, 388 DB's, 434 HR's, 1,404 RBI's, .295 BA. 4 seasons with 130 RBI's or more. Yes or no? I say No. He was in there during the steroid era, and was mentioned in Canseco's book and most of the people he mentioned actually have been realized in real life to fruition.

No. Probably the only player with almost as much talent as, and even worse health than, Griffey. Gonzalez is only a month older than Junior, but his hamstrings defied medical science. I cannot think of another longer, slower, yet totally inevitable sliding crash from mountaintop to ocean floor than Gonzo's career.

Couldn't stay healthy. Couldn't take a walk if spotted a 3-0 count. But man, could he hit. Should have ended up with over 600 homers... but no.

I thought he might have had a chance but then the steroid allegations and his career just kind of ended. I think a lot of guys who were in may now find out that they will not be going to the Hall because of steroids. No is my answer.

Nope... No chance. Some better players are missing from the Hall and he will be a no show for a long time... Canseco's book won't have anything to do with it either... he sucked from 2000 on.

I like Gonzalez. However, I don't think he will make the Hall of Fame since he was accused of being on the juice. It is really sad since he was one of my favorite players, and he had to resort to juicing up. And it is unfortunate, but Pudge may have been on the juice as well even though I don't hate Pudge. I also think that the Rangers shouldn't retire Pudge or Gonzo's numbers.

I'm a Gonzo fan, yeah he was mentioned in "The Book", but that don't hold my faith to that. To me steroids is just the evolution of science and medicine. Let all pro athletes be on that stuff, it's their bodies and mindes. Thats the price when you make a deal with the devil. So goes life.

Those aren't Hall of Fame numbers, steroid rumors or not.
