If another team offers Peyton Manning or Tom Brady a better contract, what are the odds they would leave their current team? If they were to refuse, why? Are they even allowed to accept or are they too closely on a leash by their coaching staff?

I just think about what the Colts and the Patriots would be without their respectable quarterbacks and it sends chills down my spine.

I think not in these cases. But it has happened. The LA Rams gave up Van Brocklin and Jaworski.

Not currently, but at some point in the future it is possible. 10 years ago Patriots fans were enthralled with Drew Bledsoe who brought them to a Super Bowl against the Packers. But in 2001 he got hurt and an obscure 2nd string quarterback from Michigan came along and faster than you can say "Wally Pipp" Tom Brady replaced Drew Bledsoe who went to Buffalo and then Dallas. So it's conceivable that someday one of them could go.

I think if either player was in that postition we'd be looking at two guys who are past their prime but still think they can play and have been released by their respective teams. I doubt either one of them would do that. They will both most likely retire with the teams they are with currently. And both are fixtures with the respective fans, I think (not unlike Favre) they could play for as long as they wanted.

Both players are pretty loyal to their team. They both have good systems that work for them. Neither is hurting for money. I can't see either one leaving a good thing for more cash. Neither strike me as the type to take money over championships. Besides, both could retire today and most likely make the HOF.

they are under contract they cant leave until they are free agents! Peyton is the top payed player in the nfl why would he leave or want too!! I think that if they were free agents it wouldnt matter the teams would franchise them anyways for a year or two til they could work out a contract but i dont think peyton could get paid anymore otherwise he wouldnt have enough money in the payroll to have a decent reciever or running back for them!!!

I don't think either team would be stupid enough to let them go in free agency...They'll just keep making sure their contract is extended ahead of time, before it expires...Also, I think each QB is loyal to their team, and the chemistry is there obviously to constantly battle for the Super Bowl...Tom Brady has the best receiver he has ever had with the possible exception of Troy Brown...I really don't think that either would want to leave their situation...

I don't see Manning leaving. He has a system there that is tailored to his skills. Tom Brady would before Manning, but he is a team player, and he just got his dream receiver in Randy Moss.

tom brady never would. he chooses to take pay cuts to stay with his current team, so why would he go elsewhere? i doubt manning would ever go somewhere else, but maybe when he gets older the colts will want to release him for salary cap purposes cause he is the highest paid player in the league.

No. The reason is not only they have team loyalty but they know those teams offer them the best chance to win.

the two you mentioned are too important to there community's they have both won Superbowl's Brady has three so hes a god in new England and Payton has one but hes a god in indie so unless they want to leave no they will retire there.
