They would lose thousands of voters... illegals and the dead... Sure... as the first poster mentioned their could be instances where one is unable to show up. The absentee ballets... well, I am sure we could take care and track those who are in the service... (by the way... they dems tried to railroad our service men and women from voting last election as well) and get their vote counted, those that are sent the ballot by mail can only in fact send that one back in and could be controlled with a simple bar code to ensure it is only counted once. To the lefts shocking surprise I am sure, the handicapped actually do get out there in the world and if they so desire... I am sure they could go and vote. As far as the shut in's go.... if you want to vote... do as everyone else and get your butt out of the house and do it! If you can't do what everyone else does, your vote is not needed. Finally the poor.... isn't that always the card the left plays? These people are too poor or stupid to get out to vote.... they can't afford a $15.00 identification card... they need that $15.00 for a new PS3 game or some name brand sneaker. Believe me, if your convictions are strong enough that you want to vote... a cheap ID card won't stop them. How about a little credit for the poor that is working to make a difference. They can do without your high brow pity.

If any state needs to restoration that, that is straightforward. supply up charging for identity's, then it is not against the U. S. shape to require an identity. do away with a small tax sequence attempt and fund the DMV yet in a distinctive way, and the democrats have not got something Constitutional to declare on the issue, and it would now no longer be a federal subject, it would be a state subject. all your Republicans would desire to do is post or close up. they are in a position to improve yet another tax or decrease some thing of their funds to make up for the money they spend to make IDs and appropriate study. it style of feels they might particularly faux that there should not be something incorrect with a polltax, as a results of fact the government has already--yet that's large, all of us understand that all people politicians, and Republicans particularly, forget regarding the form whilst that's inconvenient to their reason. Oh, and if anybody (the two social gathering) somewhat gave a crap approximately election fraud, we'd have paper ballots (or receipts) that get counted by using desktops, no longer desktops that basically let us know who the winner is with out thank you to verify that all people votes have been entered, entered basically as quickly as, and counted wisely. And Orange, you will possibly be impressive--i think of i'm the only liberal with a libertarian objection to IDs. i do no longer think of i've got heard anybody, liberal or conservative, take that objection heavily. (for people who do no longer understand what the old libertarian view replaced into, that's that the government shouldn't require human registry, enable cops to require you to coach identity's whilst they are no longer investigating, or make you carry "papers" to be allowed to stroll down the line.)

Here in Ohio, I had trouble voting because I had recently moved, and the address on my License hadn't been updated yet. Fortunately I had brought in several utility bills, and got to vote, but others in my area weren't able to convince them.

But don't worry! Ohio still got the Democrat Governor and Senator that we so desperately needed. But next time, the Democratic voters might not be so lucky.

Because you can't use them for mail votes, done by shut ins, service people stationed overseas, and handicapped people. Also you have to apply with several forms of ID which poor people often don't have (no drivers license, no picture ID). It puts a hardship on the poorest and the lower class.
